Later in the day, the college organized STEM Day activities, where college students read books to kids and the kids got to participate in making a rainbow and erupting volcanoes. Additionally, snacks were provided, and each kid could take home two books of their choice.

When the campus moved to Morgantown from its previous location in Westover several years ago, they got students in all of their programs involved in community service activities as well.
Speaking to two Cosmetology students, Addie Barber and Camille Tinney, they explained what they were most looking forward to during the Week of Service and why they feel it is important to give back. Tinney said that the blood drive and ice cream bar were her favorites, and she likes the idea of coming together as a community for a great cause. Barber added that volunteering for others helps her as well and that she believes doing something for others is the best way to help oneself.
The college will continue its Week of Service event on Wednesday, which is its biggest day of events during the week. The day will start with the student salon being open from 9 a.m. to 4:40 p.m., followed by the esthetics clinic being open between 5:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. An American Red Cross blood drive will also take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with nursing students on-site to assist. The ice cream sundae bar will be open starting at 12 p.m. in the Laurel Great Room, and the Roley Polly Egg-roll food truck will be available at the college between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
